The "College of Europe Postgraduate Scholarship Programme", which is carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs, continues with the support of the private sector, non-governmental organisations, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the College of Europe, and those who are entitled to receive a scholarship have the opportunity to receive a 10-month postgraduate education at the College of Europe (College of Europe / College d'Europe).
The College of Europe was established in Bruges, Belgium in 1949 to provide academic support to European integration efforts and to train bureaucrats for the European Union institutions. The College, where education in English and French is compulsory, is one of the most influential and respected institutions in the field of European studies. Graduates of the College hold senior positions in the EU institutions and public institutions of member and candidate states, as well as in the private sector and non-governmental organisations.
It is envisaged by the Directorate for EU Affairs to provide scholarship opportunities at the College of Europe for the academic year 2024-2025 for academically successful students who wish to pursue a master's degree in the field of European Union, in the number provided by our private sector and non-governmental organisations. The requirements for scholarship applications are set out in the attached scholarship announcement and the deadline for application is 16 January 2024. The announcement and detailed information on the scholarship programme can be found on the website of the Directorate for EU Affairs https://www.ab.gov.tr/53611.html. Between 2010 and 2023, 163 students had the opportunity to study for a master's degree at this prestigious school.
Applicants are expected to be university graduates or final year students in relevant fields such as law, economics, social sciences, communication and have a good command of both English and French. Following the completion of the application process, a pre-selection list is prepared by the College of Europe through the examination of the application files, and the scholarship recipients are selected from among the candidates on this list through an interview procedure.
