The training, led by certified MAXQDA trainer Burak Varol, focused on qualitative research methods, covering the systematic structuring of the data analysis process, the stages of coding and theme generation, and the effective use of MAXQDA software in academic research. The program provided a comprehensive learning environment for participants seeking to enhance their methodological competence in academic research and strengthen their practical skills in data analysis processes.
In the first part of the two-session program, participants received theoretical instruction on qualitative data analysis methods, the systematic structuring of the data analysis process, and the role of MAXQDA software in research processes. In this context, fundamental concepts that strengthen the methodological foundation during the project preparation phase and frameworks for planning analysis processes were specifically addressed. In the second part, participants had the opportunity to apply the knowledge they gained by working on a sample dataset under the guidance of an instructor. By directly experiencing MAXQDA’s capabilities—such as coding, theme generation, data organization, and structuring analysis processes—they acquired practical skills applicable to research processes.
While the training program served as a guide for academic staff and students seeking to enhance their methodological competence in research and project development processes, its interactive structure provided participants with significant insights into conducting qualitative research processes in a more organized, systematic, and efficient manner using digital tools.
