Ibn Haldun University is contributing its academic expertise to the project entitled “Structural Problems of the Court of Jurisdictional Disputes and the Development of Digital Solutions to Address Them.” Led by Dr. Burak Görentaş, a lecturer at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, the project involves five legal scholars from our university as researchers.

The project aims to analyse the existing structural and operational problems of the Court of Jurisdictional Disputes and develop proposals for solutions based on digital transformation. Within this framework, the planned activities include examining the Court’s current operations, analysing institutional processes and mapping workflows.

The analysis of judicial decision data and the development of AI-assisted classification models are also among the project’s research areas. In addition, the project aims to develop proposals for an electronic application system, a judicial decision database and digital archive models. These efforts seek to assess solutions that could contribute to a faster, more transparent and more predictable judicial system.

The following academics from Ibn Haldun University’s Faculty of Law are participating in the project as researchers:

  • Prof. Yeliz Bozkurt Gümrükçüoğlu
  • Prof. Ali Yeşilırmak
  • Asst. Prof. Ömer Faruk Petek
  • Asst. Prof. Ömer Faruk Kafalı
  • Asst. Prof. Gülnihal Anter Yakacak

Bringing together knowledge and experience from different institutions, the project reflects our university’s interdisciplinary approach to research. By addressing law and digital technologies together, the study aims to contribute to academic literature and the improvement of judicial services in Türkiye.
