Our Career Center’s EU Erasmus+-Funded Sustainability Project: SUSTAIN-ED
Led by Büşra KULAKSIZ, a staff member of our university’s Career Center, and featuring Çiğdem HANECİ, Meryem Reyhan ASLAN, and İbrahim Ethem ERDOĞDU on the team, the project titled “Sustainability in Education Beyond Borders: Perspectives of International Students in Türkiye and International Students in Germany on Sustainability in Their Host Countries," led by Büşra KULAKSIZ from our university’s Career Center, with a team comprising Çiğdem HANECİ, Meryem Reyhan ASLAN, and İbrahim Ethem ERDOĞDU, has been awarded a grant of 25,872.00 euros under the 2025/2 call of the Turkish National Agency’s Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges Program (KA-152).

The SUSTAIN-ED project is fundamentally based on an international youth exchange program to be carried out between Turkey and Germany. During this exchange, which will take place between June and August 2026, young participants from both countries will come together to mutually experience the concept of sustainability in their respective education systems and have the opportunity to learn from each other’s perspectives.

The project addresses themes such as sustainability in education, intercultural learning, digital skills, environmental awareness, and active citizenship through an integrated approach. Participants will not only gain knowledge but also aim to transform their experiences into tangible outcomes, fostering lasting awareness at both the local and global levels.

Through this project, our university continues to play an active role in international youth cooperation and to build strong ties with Europe within the framework of the Erasmus+ program.

We congratulate project coordinator Büşra KULAKSIZ and the entire team for their efforts and wish them success in their work.
