Within the scope of the program, the topics of Centres of Vocational Excellence, Capacity Building in Higher Education, and Erasmus Mundus were addressed under the broader heading of Erasmus+ centralised projects. The meeting provided a comprehensive informational setting for participants who wished to obtain up-to-date information on Erasmus+ centralised projects, gain a closer understanding of the application processes, and benefit from different project experiences.
In the first half of the program, following the opening remarks delivered by Ibn Haldun University Rector Prof. Atilla Arkan and Turkish National Agency President İlker Astarcı, the topic of Centres of Vocational Excellence was discussed by Damla Erdem. In the session on Capacity Building in Higher Education, Arzu Çetin shared the main priorities and technical dimensions of the program with the participants. In addition, representing Galatasaray University, Ayşe Toy Par shared her experience through an ongoing sample project and conveyed practical information regarding the application and implementation processes. In the afternoon sessions, the Erasmus Mundus program was addressed by Dr. Handan Boyar, while Prof. Cem Bülent Üstündağ, representing Yıldız Technical University, also shared his project experiences and offered guiding insights to the participants.
The event served as a valuable guide for academic and administrative stakeholders planning to apply for Erasmus+ centralised projects and made significant contributions to participants’ understanding of project development processes. The technical information, policy priorities, and examples of experience shared during the presentations enabled participants to assess the application and preparation processes for Erasmus+ centralised projects within a more systematic framework.
