Strengthening Project Culture through TÜBİTAK 1002 Grants
The program titled “TÜBİTAK 1002 Project Grants: Training, Experience, and Application Strategies” was held in a hybrid format on June 4, 2026, under the coordination of the Project Support Office.

The program addressed the 1002-A Short Term Support Module and the 1002-B Emergency Support Module, which are part of the 1002 Short Term Support Program administered by the TÜBİTAK Research Support Programs Presidency (ARDEB). The event provided a comprehensive informational platform for academic staff and doctoral students seeking to gain insights into project development processes, better understand TÜBİTAK’s support mechanisms, and benefit from the exchange of experiences regarding application strategies.

At the opening of the program, Gülcan GÜVEN YEŞİLGÜL, Project Support Office Specialist, delivered an introductory presentation on TÜBİTAK 1002 support programs. The presentation provided participants with general information on the scope, objectives, application requirements, and evaluation processes of the programs, as well as on ARBİS and the application system (ARDEB PBS). In the second session, Prof. Dr. Alev Erkilet, a faculty member of the Department of Sociology, and Dr. Nesibe Demir, Lecturer at Medipol University, shared their experiences regarding TÜBİTAK project application and implementation processes with the participants. The session also addressed strategic recommendations for preparing successful project applications, highlighting key points to consider during the project writing process and offering advice on how researchers can benefit more effectively from support programs.

Throughout the event, participants had the opportunity to obtain up-to-date information on TÜBİTAK support programs and to direct their questions regarding project development and application processes to experts. The program is expected to contribute to strengthening the research and project culture at our university, increasing awareness of TÜBİTAK support programs, and encouraging high-quality project applications.
