A Shared Vision with European Partners: EU STEM Coalition General Assembly
As part of its efforts to enhance international project development and collaborations, the Project Support Office of Ibn Haldun University participated in the EU STEM Coalition General Assembly held in Istanbul on April 22–23, 2026.

The event brought together stakeholders from across Europe, providing an important platform to discuss the future of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, skills development, and cross-ecosystem collaboration.

Hosted at the Novotel Istanbul Bosphorus in Istanbul, the General Assembly offered opportunities for knowledge exchange, strategic discussions, and networking among institutional representatives from various countries. Following a commemorative session held in memory of EU STEM Coalition founder Beatrice Boots, the organization’s five-year strategy was presented to participants by Rolf Schreuder and Dr. Pieter Moerman. Throughout the day, networking activities, poster presentations on organizational initiatives, and bilateral meeting sessions facilitated the development of new collaborations.

On the second day of the program, the opening speech was delivered by Ziya Selçuk. The sessions addressed key topics such as best practices in STEM education in Türkiye, the importance of STEM education in early childhood, and strategies for building a sustainable STEM learning culture. In this context, presentations by Paula Walshe and Prof. Dr. Pedro Russo provided participants with up-to-date approaches from an international perspective.

The participation of the Project Support Office of Ibn Haldun University in this significant event contributed to the university’s goals of expanding its international project networks, fostering collaborations at the European level, and closely following project opportunities, particularly in the field of STEM. The contacts established and the knowledge gained during the event provided valuable outcomes for enhancing the university’s project development capacity.
